Mammut New Wave
Perfection from Switzerland?
Mammut New Wave
We often say that perfection doesn?t exist. Sour reality or simple bluff? With its new harness New Wave Mammut wanted to answer this question and the Swiss answer is, as often, quite close to? perfection.
First thing noticed, when you put it on, everything is easily adjustable. The Slide Bloc closing system is simple and quick. Pull on the strap and you?re ready to climb. With safety added!
The fact that the legs aren?t adjustable isn?t really a problem, their shape as a Y makes it easier to put your legs with the elastic that adapts to your tights, without putting away any comfort or blocking your movements.
The harness is made in a hypalone mould, witch gives it an excellent comfort while using it. When climbing or belaying, you don?t really feel the harness. 1h20 hanged on a wall was more then enough to be convinced. No blood circulation stopped, no need to always change position, even no feeling of pain? Just comfortable.
Mammut also added a plastic piece at the intersection of the tights, the protector. Its use: reduce considerably the usury caused by the friction of the rope.
For the price, no panic, it?s quite reasonable. Only 49,95 euro to get it. Witch means not much in regard to all its qualities.
A harness light, not expensive, and good for all kinds of use... A bit closer to perfection.
